We love Ronald McDonald House Charities
Alpha Delta Pi adopted Ronald McDonald House Charities as our national service project in 1979. Since that time, Alpha Delta Pi internationally has raised over $10 million to help provide a home away from home for families of critically ill children receiving medical care.
We give from the heart
Over the past two years, Delta chapter raised over $75,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.
How we give back
COOKING AT RMHC
Our chapter is located 10 minutes from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas, so we're able to help local families by cooking meals at the house each semester. We make snack bags for the RMHC family rooms at two local hospitals and attend events like Lights of Love and Bandana Ball to help raise money.
PROFIT SHARES & PICNIC WITH ADPI
We love to work together with restaurants near campus like Pluckers, Voodoo Donuts and Shake Shack to hold profit share events and cater our annual 'Picnic with ADPi' Round Up fundraiser. By bringing friends to businesses or selling wristbands for events, we receive proceeds to benefit RMHC, not to mention we get to eat some tasty food.
Every semester we invite UT students and the greek community to our house for a late-night breakfast buffet of waffles, pancakes and all the toppings! This Spring we were able to raise $6,500 for the Ronald McDonald House. What's better than waffles, ADPi friends, and philanthropy? We'll see y'all next time!
LION SHARE + LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN
Our annual letter-writing campaign and Lion Share event is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year we hosted a kickball tournament called 'Kickin It with ADPi' and raised over $27,000!
We hope to see y'all on the dance floor at ADPi Barnyard Bash on April 29th at Dance Across Texas! There will be live music, two-stepping, BBQ, face painting, a mechanical bull and raffle prizes, so don't miss it! Get more information here from our Facebook page.
We love our city too
In addition to RMHC, our members volunteer with other charities as well like Austin Pets Alive, Feed My People, Best Buddies, and Dell Children's Hospital, dedicating hours of volunteer service per month. Last year, we had a group of fifteen women build houses for the less fortunate during their Spring Break through Habitat for Humanity.
The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation
The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation was established in 1983 to provide essential resources for the educational, leadership and philanthropic activities of the Sorority and its members. Our chapter contributes to the Foundation by joining the 1851 Violet Circle and by giving 7 percent of proceeds from every chapter philanthropy event. You can learn more about the Foundation and the "We Believe Campaign" on the Foundation website.
