Philanthropy

Sisters of Delta Chapter support the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), Alpha Delta Pi's international philanthropy. RMH is an organization that provides lodging, hope, and comfort for families of seriously-ill and injured children who must travel far from home for medical treatment. The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1974, and the Austin, Texas RMH was established in 1983.

Today, there are over 250 Ronald McDonald Houses in numerous countries worldwide. The sisters of ADPi support the Austin RMH regularly by cooking meals most weekends for the residents staying at RMH, donating needed items regularly, and assisting with special events throughout the year.

Each fall, Texas Alpha Delta Pi hosts an annual Hamburger Cookout and Kickball Tournament benefiting the Austin Ronald McDonald House. Each year, Delta Chapter raises approximately $20,000 or more during these events to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.

ADPi also supports other philanthropies by participating in other fundraisers put on by Greek and spirit organizations, such as KD/Pi Phi Halloween Party, Texas Cowboys' Harvest Moon Concert, Theta Pancakes, and much more.
